Healing Treatments
Deeply rooted in the belief that genuine healing originates from within, my holistic approach to wellness revolves around mindfulness, meditation, Reiki, and sound healing. Through years of devoted study and practice, I have witnessed firsthand the immense power of these gentle healing modalities and their transformative effects on individuals' lives.
Modalities Used in Reiki Sessions
Reiki
A gentle, light-touch (or no‑touch) session that invites the body to settle and rebalance. You’ll remain fully clothed as steady hand placements support deep rest and nervous system ease. In online sessions, you'll be able to relax in the comforts of your own home, receiving the same loving care — just at a distance. Small clinical studies in hospitals and oncology settings report reductions in pain, anxiety, and fatigue, though overall evidence is mixed and often preliminary. These effects are thought to relate to activation of the relaxation response — some studies note lower heart rate, blood pressure, or perceived stress after sessions. We’ll begin with a brief check‑in, then close with grounding so you leave clear and integrated.
Sound Healing
To accompany the soothing energy of Reiki, I often like to incorporate sound into the sessions, using my singing bowl and shamanic drum (and maybe some rattles). The bowl’s pure tones wash through the body, while the drum’s rhythm helps the mind settle and the breath deepen. You’re invited to lie back, listen, and let resonance loosen what’s tight or overworked. Sound is offered with sensitivity — spacious, unhurried, and tuned to your comfort. Many leave feeling clearer, softer, and gently re‑centered.
Voice Medicine
I have found the medicine of one's own voice is the most powerful transformational tool we can possess. The good news is, we are all born with it. The bad news is that many of us have forgotten how to use it. The voice is a magical tool that allows thoughts and feelings to take form. When we use our voice in chanting and healing sound, we can transmute emotions we didn't even know we had. It helps to soothe the nervous system, and manifest things at lightening speed. Our voices heal us from the inside out — vibrating soothing tones through each of our cells as we envision our intentions and blessings out into the world. Your own voice becomes a calming instrument through guided breath, humming, toning, and simple mantra. No singing experience is needed—gentle sounds are enough to soften the jaw, open the chest, and soothe the nervous system. We’ll explore easy patterns that foster presence, steady the mind, and support emotional release. You’ll learn a few personalized tones you can take home as a daily reset. Sessions feel collaborative, kind, and deeply regulating.
Shamanic Journeying
Shamans and Shamanic practitioners use altered mind-states to access different layers of consciousness. Shamanic Journeying can be used for seeking specific information, releasing old trauma, personal healing - on all levels, and above all, accessing one's own intuition. Receive healing from me, or learn to journey on your own. Guided by steady drumbeat and imagery, you enter a relaxed, dreamlike state to explore your inner landscape with intention. Laboratory studies suggest repetitive drumming can promote theta‑range brain activity associated with meditative states, and small studies on shamanic practitioners report altered neural patterns alongside intact cognitive control. Related research on guided imagery shows benefits for anxiety, pain perception, and stress in health‑care settings. After the journey, we ground and reflect, noting themes or simple actions to support integration. The tone is respectful, non‑dogmatic, and centered on your direct experience.
